The Challenge

Astra Protocol was a greenfield project operating in the specialized Blockchain KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) security space. The fundamental challenge was the complete absence of infrastructure: the entire software system and all associated quality assurance procedures had to be developed from scratch. They required immediate, expert assistance to establish robust QA processes and build a cutting-edge test automation framework for this complex security environment.

Our Approach

We deployed two expert QA engineers to build the entire quality pipeline for Astra Protocol. Our approach focused on establishing comprehensive, state-of-the-art procedures from the ground up. This involved implementing the tailored P.I.R.A.T.E.S Framework to guide all quality assurance activities and designing a very advanced test automation framework to ensure the highest software quality. We also prioritized Complex Integration Testing, building extensive automation integrations to test external systems, camera devices, and mailing systems, which were crucial for the KYC/KYB product. Finally, our QAs took responsibility for Process Creation, successfully establishing all necessary Quality processes and day-to-day operations from scratch.

Automated Regression Suite: Created a comprehensive regression test suite and ensured its complete coverage with the new automation framework, allowing for safer and easier deployments.
Centralized Quality Tracking: Incorporated all tests and results into a Quality Tracking system for improved oversight and continuous monitoring.
Process Maturation: Drove internal quality improvements by suggesting and helping implement new quality assurance metrics to provide clear visibility into software health.
